It’s my birthday 🎂 and I have an announcement!!! 🥳 I launched my OF! 🍾🎊 This has been something I’ve been considering + talking w/ my therapist (lol) for a long time now. As a public survivor of image based sex abuse for a while I felt this was “off limits” for me 🧵 1/6

In 5th grade some kids are already getting their periods. What exactly is wrong with learning about their own anatomy? Esp when many won’t be taught at home?

6 years ago today I found my nude pics on Pornhub, posted by my ex who had made a profile with my full name, address, & phone number. Today I fight for victims going through something similar. It's crazy how far away it feels but at the same time the way it feels like it was yday

I can see that but idk, what about parents who refuse their children information? They’re learning about their own anatomy, I’m not sure why that would require parental permission. To me there shouldn’t be anything controversial about this

Can’t say Nutley doesn’t have a racism problem when this is the response to a BLM protest...

Sexual assault during sleep can not only make sleeping next to someone else feel unsafe, but it can feel unsafe to sleep alone, too. Especially when PTSD makes nighttime and sleep become associated with nightmares, instead of rest.

Yesterday made 8 years to the day that I found my naked pictures on the internet -- the culmination of months of threats and stalking by my exbf. This time of year my PTSD always acts up but it's also an opportunity to reflect on my personal growth + how the movement has grown 🧵

PROTEST IN NUTLEY ON SUN JUN 7. Nutley is full of openly racist white people (as you can see from the public responses) & we need as many as possible to show we will not accept this shit.

I’ve never talked about my own experience with this publicly, but I will say that the only thing that helped me finally start to feel safe sleeping again was hypnosis. This was almost a decade after the initial trauma. After years of therapy + healing work.

It feels close to me when I feel a phone vibrate, or when I'm shamed (by strangers or people in my life) for my sexuality, or when I get a cryptic DM/text from a random creep that makes me go searching online to make sure nothing's out there. The PTSD is real & brings me back

But at the same time I'm proud looking back at how far I've come since 2015. That 19 y/o girl had been so drained and worn down. Feeling ashamed of having sent nude pics, feeling trapped by an abuser who was set out to ruin my life. And afraid of the consequences of speaking out

Anyway long way of saying these past 6 years have been full of reflection & growth & change and I'm only just getting started fighting ✨💣
