Jews have a tradition, even an obligation to call out wrongdoing in their midst. But what do we do when, with the help of social media and AI, antisemites use our activism to spread hate against us? Activists have a great responsibility not to feed the flames of antisemitism.

To the person who came over to me in Shul today while I was holding my 2yr old and told me "no one wants you here," and then sent his adolescent son to tell me with my 5yr old on my lap "to be clear, you're not welcome here," I hope you have a meaningful fast tomorrow and 9 B'av.

Two ads for Yang in Hasidic WhatsApp, but only the Yiddish one mentions he'll "defend our Yeshivas."

Does the word intifada have another meaning that I'm unfamiliar with? I studied in Israel during the 2nd intifada and there were daily attacks not far from my school. Bus bombings, pizza parlors, etc. If that's what these students are calling for, they should face consequences.
At the University of Michigan, a call to murder Jews.

If, in the immediate wake of the largest massacre against Jews in 50 years, your first reaction is to defend the "resistance," then yea we have the right to ask "do you support Hamas?"
Stop asking every Palestinian if they support Hamas:

My family and I are still in shock from this. Maybe I'll write more about this in the coming days.

A FOIL request I submitted on 11/6/17 to the @BilldeBlasio @NYCMayorsOffice regarding the Yeshiva investigation has now been extended long into the @ericadamsfornyc administration. New expected date: 3/23/22 Tell me this isn't blatant corruption.

Thread 🧵 on corporal punishment in Yeshivas: As a kid, I was one of the best (if not THE best) boys in my class (at least during Judaic studies). Yet even I was hit numerous times. One time, my teacher in 2nd grade smacked me so hard that I & my metal desk fell over sideways.

Check out my op-ed in the @JewishCurrents! This is a test to see if my progressive friends can do some introspection and hold progressive elected officials accountable.
In this week's newsletter, @nmoster holds progressive New York elected officials to task for failing to stand up for the right of Haredi children to receive a basic secular education. jewishcurrents.org/progressives-h…

Oy, really terrible response. As @rabbijilljacobs just wrote. It's not a zero sum game.

Important to note that NY politicians and candidates have a long history of pandering to these leaders. Here de Blasio helped delay and nearly derail an investigation into mass educational neglect in many Yeshivas.

I am going to say this as politely as possible: To those who didn't believe us or questioned our credibility all these years when we were exposing the violations and fraud in many Hasidic Yeshivas (let alone to those of you who intentionally looked the other way): Shame on you.

There was a post on my feed about a Ramadan event in support of the Israeli hostages held by Hamas. Can you help me find it? Jk, of course no one would dare to appropriate a Ramadan event like they did with the Pesach Seder. (Photo credit: @ArielleLAngel)
