My month with AI: May 2026 Edition Focused mostly on Agents this month, and a little bit of vibe coding. All projects are still WIP and nothing feels complete yet. Many being dogfooded. Some abandoned (for now). P.s. The link for my vibe coding workshop in Delhi (this Friday)

So WhatsApp has sued the Indian government for imposing the IT Rules 2021. This is probably the most significant privacy case in India, ever since the Right to Privacy case. Thread on what this is about:

That's not insensitive. It's a criminal threat of violence.
"Will bury alive those who are against CAA" U.P Minister Raghuraj Singh makes an insensitive comment at a public gathering

#pegasus ๐Ÿงต There is nothing shocking or surprising about governments spying using Pegasus. We've known about Pegasus since at least 2016. First known use in India that we know about was in Bhima Koregaon spying, allegedly by Indian govt.ย  A few points for your consideration: 1/

Someone at Sony LIV seems to be under immense revenue pressure & making very stupid short term decisions. 1.5 min of ads (2x15 sec+2x30 sec) after every 3 min is unforgivable. On one occasion they repeated an ad in the same sequence. This leads to 4 things: 1. Paying customers

It's 2023 and I'm not sure if anyone cares for #netneutrality in India anymore, but Jio, Vi and Airtel are coming for it. Don't take my word for it. Here are excerpts from their submissions to @TRAI (uploaded last night) :

NPCI, which runs UPI, is a private company. Anyone saying it's a govt org is spreading misinformation.
Grok said, If UPI were a private company, then it could have been India's Stripe on steroids, valued at $150-160 billion today, with potential to hit $300B+ by 2030. At this valuation, UPI could have been among world's top 50 companies. UPI is an underrated behemoth.

Pls avoid giving your data to Digi Yatra. In RTI response to us, Ministry of Civil Aviation said Digi Yatra is managed by a private non profit entity, and hence not under RTI. So they've structured collection of facial data to avoid accountability. Why should we trust them?
Trying out โ€œDigi Yatraโ€ app to check out the biometric enabled seamless travel experience but app doesnโ€™t seem to recognise Indigo issued Boarding pass!! Any ideas @amitranjan @buzzindelhi ?

Given all the trolling I've got for stating the _fact_ that UPI is run by a private company, let me give you another fun _fact_: Digiyatra is run by a private entity and not by the government of India.

How about switching the internet back on in Kashmir, Assam, mizoram, parts of UP?
Launched the #NationalBroadbandMission today. This Mission aims to provide access to broadband to all villages by 2022.

Twitter has complied with govt requests to censor 52 tweets largely critical of Indiaโ€™s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Affected accounts include MP Revanth Reddy, WB minister Moloy Ghatak, actor Vineet Kumar Singh, among others.

Why are we shocked? NPCI (which runs UPI), Digiyatra Foundation, ONDC, are all private orgs by design to avoid accountability under RTI. Who gets contracts (who doesn't), who gets favoured (who doesn't), who gets to launch first...no accountability. It's a feature, not a bug.
Shocking to know that the NTA is a private society deciding the future of the students to publicly funded government institutions. Not under RTI = no info. No public oversight = no accountability. Thats why the govt and the ministry can wash their hands off the scam.

Internet access has NOT BEEN RESTORED in the Kashmir valley. This is still an INTERNET SHUTDOWN. The internet is not 301 websites. It is billions of websites and apps. Would urge those reporting on this to not call this a restoration of internet access because THIS IS NOT TRUE.
After remaining shut for more than five months, 2G mobile internet services will be restored in the Kashmir Valley. bit.ly/3aGuErQ

How about a separate fleet for those vegetarians who don't have onion & garlic & don't want that mixed with their veg food. How about separate fleets for jhatka and halal non veg. What an idiotic move. Some societies will stop non veg deliveries & you're only enabling them.
    Replying to @deepigoyal
Our dedicated Pure Veg Fleet will only serve orders from these pure veg restaurants. This means that a non-veg meal, or even a veg meal served by a non-veg restaurant will never go inside the green delivery box meant for our Pure Veg Fleet.
