The Kennedy School’s Institute of Politics has been a part of my life for more than 15 years, first as a student and more recently as a Fellow. Today, I’m honored and humbled to take the helm of @HarvardIOP as interim Co-Director, alongside Beth Myers, as it prepares for its next

The Saudis appear to have murdered a US resident (& a @washingtonpost contributor). The Chinese have arrested the head of INTERPOL. The Russians have used chem weapons on UK soil, etc. The worst impulses of brutal regimes are coming fwd bc/ no one is standing up against them.

He’s so predictable. It’s a simple recipe: —Manufacture a crisis on an issue of importance to the base. —Leave success undefined. —Pretend to play hardball in a way that rallies the base. —“Solve” the manufactured crisis. —Disguise the status quo as a “huge success.”
I am pleased to inform you that The United States of America has reached a signed agreement with Mexico. The Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended. Mexico, in turn, has agreed to take strong measures to....

War is the failure of diplomacy. It’s the failure of statecraft. And it’s the failure of humanity. We’re seeing lots of failures combine tonight in horrifying ways.

This person spouting outright and dangerous lies about our law enforcement and intelligence professionals is a member of the Gang of 8. As such, he’s briefed on our most sensitive intelligence collection and covert action programs around the world. Stunning.
The FBI broke into President Trump’s campaign, spied on him, then tried to cover it up. This is a modern-day Watergate.

This is truly insane. The administration isn’t allowing audio or video of its Coronavirus updates — precisely when clear and credible communication is what the American people need most.
We’re underway. No audio or video permitted but photos OK per @WhiteHouse.

When it comes to Michael Flynn, nothing will be more satisfying than to hear Joe Biden’s Attorney General declare that... she won’t get involved and will leave prosecutorial decisions to career prosecutors. That’s when we’ll know rule of law will have been restored.

It shouldn't reflect on Mueller that he didn't light himself on fire to dramatize a report detailing an attack on our democracy and a President's efforts to obstruct the investigation. It should reflect on us that theatrics are needed to attract attention to something like this.

I'm thrilled to join this team as the incoming State Department Spokesperson. Even more so, I'm humbled at the opportunity—and honor—to work with the women and men of the Department. Together, we will tell the story of America and our role in the world.

CIA has now confirmed publicly that Pompeo did NOT serve in the Gulf War. Any examples of Pompeo saying or even suggesting otherwise over the years would be of extreme interest to Members of Congress set to vote on his nomination next week. (@LexisNexis)
It seems apparent from reliable sources that Mike Pompeo did NOT serve in the first Gulf War, but nearly half of his public bios--including his Wikipedia page--and contemporary write-ups claim he did. Is this something he's been content to leave uncorrected? A quick sample:

.@PeteButtigieg this morning with all that needs to be said about Trump’s latest outrage: “My thoughts on that are that Kim Jong Un is a murderous dictator and the Vice President Biden served this country honorably.”
