Today, 13 years ago, on March 20th 2009, Firaaq released. The film is probably more relevant today. If you haven’t seen it, please watch it on Amazon Prime or Youtube. The theme of fear, prejudice, disparity…continues. But not without moments of joy and hope.

00:00 - This is just too sad. I'd worked with #IrrfanKhan in Supari, not our best, but we had a wonderful time together. We met a few times after that & will always treasure the warmth. Not to mention the loss of an incredible actor. Will rewatch his flims to celebrate his life and work.
- A special screening of #Zwigato was held for Hon'ble @CMO_Odisha Mr. Naveen Patnaik. I deeply appreciate his gesture of waiving off entertainment tax. Now many more can watch it. People of #Bhubaneswar please go see your city, your actors & a story that needs to be told.

- Hope those who celebrate Diwali, had a happy one. We did but it was tough for my son & cat to sleep with all those crackers. Never understood how air & noise pollution can give some people joy. But then there is a lot more happening these days that I don’t understand at all!
- On this day I always remember #manto He died when he was only 42, in 1955. Too early, too young. But left a treasure of stories and through that, Manto lives on.
- Now on the sets of Virata Parvam with @venuudugulafilm the director and @dancinemaniac the DOP. Despite the stress of speaking Telegu, being on set is always a pleasure!

Only when stories are rooted in their own contexts, they transcend cultures & become part of world cinema. Happy!!Thrilled to announce that #Zwigato has earned a spot at the prestigious academy of motion picture (Oscar) library. Thank you @TheAcademy for this honour!
