- I am the chief of surgery at SMH @UnityHealthTO - with a thriving practice in trauma & emergency surgery. I am the Vice Chair Edu, @UofTSurgery I am a national figure in gun violence prevention. I am a Mom & that is my favourite job. Any questions?Fortunately this is untrue at @uoftmedicine, @UnityHealthTO and many other universities/hospitals in Canada. Still lots to do to achieve gender equity, but I'm glad to know many women chiefs & deans who are very successful professionally and have a family.
- The AR15 is not a sporting rifle. It is a killing machine. @Docs4GunControl 80% of Canadians agree. @BillBlairThe AR-15, and other weapons like it, have been used in mass killings in Canada including at École Polytechnique, Dawson College, the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City, Moncton, and against children at Sandy Hook in the U.S. These weapons have no place in our communities.

- As a trauma surgeon I have witnessed the devastation caused by guns. Bullets blow apart everything in their path. They shred blood vessels, pulverize organs & shatter bones. AR-15 & like semi-automatic weapons rip apart tissues, families, and communities. @Docs4GunControl
