- Seeing the progression of your players over the years is one of the best things about this job. This young freshman qb became one of the best in school history. The only stat that matters….19-0 as starting qb and STATE CHAMPION! Thanks @ZanderDitt

- I cannot say how proud we are of this team. Playing in back to back state championship games is a feat in itself, unfortunately @ElkRiverElksFB made a few more plays than we did. They are a great football team. This game will not define us, and you have not seen the last of usThanks to our coaches and players for a great season. Mankato West is the 2022 Class 5A runner-up.
- Not the way we envisioned it to end, but we fought til the clock hit zero. Huge testament to our seniors and their leadership. Their HS football careers are over, but they are just starting to become the next leaders in society. Proud of all these young men!
- Last night we capped off this magical run with our banquet. This senior group….WOW! These men set out to write their legacy and did they ever! 19-0 over the last 2 years. 2021 CLASS 5A STATE CHAMPIONS.
- Shout out to this group of seniors and the 2020 team. In this pandemic, they achieved everything they were allowed to do. 6-0 undefeated, Big SE Red Champs, 1/5 teams in class 5A without a loss. There was no state tournament but your this team is STATE CHAMPS in our eyes!
- Let’s meet our 2022 captains. The tradition continues in 2022.
