- Question from a reporter who covers religion (& takes journalism, faith very seriously): If journalists can gather with social distance rather than covering the White House via video feed, why can't churches, mosques, synagogues gather thusly to pray?
- Saying “powerful” “force” “shaping … media” about a chassidic Jew (and naming her when it appears to be open hunting season for Orthodox Jews in certain places) is a complicated, risky thing to do. The reporter and her editors must have thought this was *that* important.
- Does anyone have reliable and up-to-date stats on how many chassidic reporters work at the New York Times?

- Replying to @mweckerAdding this here too: According to the diversity and inclusion page of the NY Times site, “… To ensure we tell and share stories with respect, empathy and accuracy, we are committed to fostering a diverse staff that reflects the society we report on.”
- Very worthwhile read in @Commentary — in response to the Times reporting on chassidic schools — from the non-chassidic researcher, of whom I’m aware, who has spent the most time in chassidic schools
- John Kirby speaking about Israel and the Hamas terror organization: "It's going to take a little bit of moral courage on both sides to finally be able to come across that table and ink this deal."
