Jacqui Lambie, belting into Hanson: "Having the freedom to choose isn't the same as having the freedom to avoid the consequences of your choice" #auspol

I've found today pretty hard. Have to be honest about that. There has been so much nonsense, so much time wasted – and reporting that looks at climate change through the prism of whether particular strategy wins elections is a big part of the problem.

PM on ICAC. "I have honoured my proposal. The Labor Party don't support it. That is where the issue rests." Fact check: The proposal was never introduced. Labor doesn't support if because it's been universally panned. Doesn't explain why the legislation was never introduced.

It is one of those days (and there’s been too many over the last 12 months) where I have felt genuine, deep seated revulsion, being here, being adjacent to this #auspol

Haven’t really wanted to engage substantively with that @apatrickafr piece today because it would dignify drivel with a response. But I do want to make the following clear. @samanthamaiden is doing stellar work with these critically important stories.

This has been a really productive near 80 mins. If you are weighing your choice on Saturday, you could do a lot worse than watch the replay of today’s @PressClubAust address and Q&A with @AlboMP

Dan Andrews on the feds: 'I haven't played politics during this crisis, I didn't during the bushfires and believe me I could have, but I did not, because I don't believe that is appropriate, so Josh Frydenberg can make all the comments he wants .. but I will be calling them out'

The head of Australia's domestic spy agency is saying, clear as a bell, foreign interference is an equal opportunity threat, and national security should not be politicised. Twice this week. Over. #auspol

.@AlboMP on the PM and weight loss: "I had a car accident in January last year. When a Range Rover is heading for a head-on collision with you, I assure you, it's a life-changing experience ... I had tried to lose some weight before then ...

I hoped I'd missed something in translation. Apparently not. This is an absolute disgrace. This outbreak is not over. The mission is not accomplished. In a democracy, political leaders are accountable to the public. Front up. That's the job #auspol

PM: What doesn't get us there is "laws telling people what to do and what they can't do ... on their farms, in their businesses, in their factories, in their homes .." This would be, literally, what a parliament does: make laws to govern a country. #qt

Scott Morrison is setting up another fake fight on a carbon ‘tax’ – and I am all out of patience after ten years of lies
