- Derrick Rose took out a full-page ad in today’s print edition of The Commercial Appeal. It’s a love letter to basketball and part of the former Memphis Tiger/Memphis Grizzly’s retirement announcement. The ad also appeared in daily newspapers in the other 5 cities he played in.
Derrick Rose has announced his retirement from the NBA after 16 seasons. Rose became the NBA’s youngest MVP in history and re-shaped his career after a battle with injuries. He played his final season with the Grizzlies.
