Think you know the story of @mmsnippets? Think again!
Last night, the horse that was the making of me left me forever. Moxie was put down with a catastrophic fracture, blowing me apart into a million little pieces. She was everything to me, and a huge part of me is gone too. ๐ค
79 years today since Peter Pan died from septicemia, buried on his favourite Baroona hillside and still there to this day. A mesmerising horse who gave me an epic byline - my first book. RIP old friend.
Iโd like to say heโs still resting in peace today 90 years on, but Iโm not sure thatโs ever been the case. ๐ค Old friend Phar Lap died on this day in 1932.
Thank you so much to all my Twitter friends that have reached out over the death of my horse. Iโve read every message in tears. Iโm so grateful for all your words. ๐

Thereโs somewhere in the universe that is very lucky to have this woman forevermore today. Thank you for sharing your journey @4Nini and @MConallin. There are a few thousand of us having a hard time thinking straight today. ๐
We lost @4Nini today, she slipped away peacefully with us around her.
She fought until the very end. She was a warrior. She was loved.
Nini taught me lessons in life Iโll never fully realise, she was my great love and Iโm insanely lucky and privileged to have been in her life
Today, an old friend I havenโt seen for a decade flew in from Canada to join me at a 40-year anniversary screening of The Man From Snowy River, and it was uplifting to watch it on the big screenโฆ a theatre full of devout fans, inc. Tom Burlinson. ๐ฅน
Today I had a nice moment. Loaded my horse on the float for the first time in months and she walked right on like a hero. Hereโs to you @4Nini for sharing your float trainer, Ian. I had a little look up to the skies for you when I closed the ramp. ๐
