- Keegan Bradley and the PGA of America should call out the abuse Rory McIlroy is getting out there. It's an embarrassment. Barely needs saying but McIlroy has single-handedly done more for this sport than anyone at Bethpage or beyond. This is some way to say thanks.
- It is bizarre to say the least that 50,000 are sitting mask free at St James’s Park as an hour and a half up the east coast main line no more than 500 are allowed into a sporting event. There’s a policy flaw somewhere.
- Surprised at level of praise towards England. I thought that was desperately dull against a team who offered absolutely nothing.
- Are we allowed to point out this has been a really poor Euros so far? Umpteen desperately dull games. Can’t get away from 24 being too many teams. Can’t get away from knackered players due to demands of club football now.
- TV crews from across Europe taking their head sets off to appreciate how loud Flower of Scotland actually was there.
- Hibs v Celtic, Rangers v Aberdeen. Two of Scottish football’s marquee games. For Sky to show neither on an otherwise quiet midweek says it all about the SPFL’s main broadcast deal… including Sky’s total lack of interest towards it.
- Big point for Celtic. Now three clear of 4th placed Aberdeen.
- Celtic and their support support lose any element of moral high ground over Kyle Lafferty when constantly chanting about “orange bastards” and the IRA. A total embarrassment. As is the unwillingness of the club and Scotland’s football authorities to address.
- The regularity with which Scott Brown's elbow collides with an opposition player's face really is uncanny.
- That ITV - a national broadcaster - “Euro 96” (England, England, England) prelude to a game between France and Germany is the kind of thing that rightly pisses off Scottish people.
- Charl Schwartzel won $4m plus and the world shrugged shoulders. Timely reminder from Rory McIlroy et al of where golf matters. This is captivating stuff.
