This happened during my first experience of a debate in the chamber. The behaviour of several Conservative MPs was appalling. After the debate, I asked a group of them why they behaved that way. I was accused of rudeness myself for having the temerity to ask. Absolutely shocking.
🚨 NEW: Shadow Health Secretary Victoria Atkins stands up at the dispatch box to shout at Environment Secretary Steve Reed while he is still speaking Speaker: "The right honourable lady has behaved abominably"

The BBC should agree to let Johnson go on Marr, then substitute the usual presenter for Andrew Neil at the last minute. That would seem a fair outcome. To add peril, the first question should be from Neil wearing a Marr mask.

Tory minister: “let young people use their pension pot to fund a house deposit.” Young people: “what pension?” Another stupid idea from an out-of-touch party. telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/…

When the inevitable U-turn on exam grades happens, there are 2 key points to remember: 1. The incompetence. Why can’t they get things right first time? 2. The government is only ‘doing the right thing’ after huge public outcry. When it shows compassion, it’s always reluctantly.

In light of the rumours about the Conservative party’s efforts to change the rules so their colleague Owen Paterson is let off after being found guilty of breaking parliamentary lobbying rules, I’ve taken the unusual step of writing to Cheltenham’s MP.

Call me a slave to logic, but if the Prime Minister wants to know whether the British people back her deal, why doesn’t she let us vote on it?

We’ve been busy today. Have we missed anything important? 👶❤️

“Don’t make it illegal for me to lie to voters during election campaigns,” says man who helped run a campaign full of lies.
Whatever view you take on Brexit, we must not try to close down debate. Contending opinions and vigorous argument are the essence of democracy. We should trust the public to decide on the merits of a political case. We should not try to criminalise free speech.

It is a privilege to have been elected MP for Cheltenham with more than 50% of the vote. Thank you. Whether you’re a committed liberal, a tactical voter, a lifelong Tory who recognises the need for change, or somebody who didn’t vote Lib Dem, I will serve you all equally. (1/3).

I’ve considered the new @LibDems policy to revoke A50. I support it. If we win a majority in Parliament we’ll have a mandate to cancel Brexit and we should. If we do not win the election, we’ll support a referendum. This is a logical position. It is in line with our values.

He has a good heart ❤️
@Feargal_Sharkey will be voting #libdem and backing his new constituency candidate @lucianaberger. Always nice when it turns out your childhood heroes have the same values as you and vote the same way. Big love to the both of them 😍🇪🇺🔶

I'm delighted to have been endorsed as the @unitetoremain candidate for Cheltenham. This is the cross-party, modern and grown-up politics we need. Thank you to the Green Party for being part of this initiative. #StopBrexit #BrighterFuture

Andrew Adonis has done a lot for the pro-European cause, but what he says about his party’s position on Brexit isn’t true. A vote for Labour is a vote for Brexit.
Labour is the Remain & Reform Party. That’s how we win these European elections & defeat Farage & Annunciata - those celebrated anti-elitists!
