Dear @Ch_JesusChrist leaders, The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was not homosexuality, but greed and lack of hospitality. Please use your voices and church resources to help, not harm, our #LGBTQ members and show more compassion for the poor. That is the right thing to do.

This year the @Ch_JesusChrist purchased a Park City hotel and will pay for its costly renovation yet has not built a homeless shelter or domestic violence shelter anywhere in the world. It continues to buy properties for its real estate portfolio while neglecting the needy.

It is ironic that in the center of the #LDS Church, Salt Lake City, it is the Catholic Church that administers the refugee resettlement program, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and other humanitarian centers. We don't see any evidence that the @Ch_JesusChrist administers any.

During the Holocaust, the @Ch_JesusChrist remained neutral regarding Hitler while the Catholic Church worked tirelessly to smuggle hundreds of thousands of Jews out of Germany. We claim to be the only true Church but too often are on the wrong side of history.

It is unbelievable but true, that @Ch_JesusChrist attorneys wrote this in the Arizona sex abuse case: "No duty exists to take affirmation precaution for the aid or protection of another...One human being, seeing a fellow man in dire peril, is under no obligation to help."

How many hetero members of the @Ch_JesusChrist would feel comfortable being told by an apostle that they should marry a person of the same sex in order to stay in the #LDS Church? That is how David Archuleta felt. Empathy matters.

While the @Ch_JesusChrist hoards $billions, it has * laid off all meetinghouse custodians, * increased missionary costs by 25% * changed handbook to say members should seek food assistance from gov't before church * said it may not use humanitarian donations for that purpose
