Reminder - I maintain a #mobwx list containing sources in Mobile and Baldwin County that tweet official weather-related info or are official accounts that may be helpful during hazardous weather 🌪

A 20+ hour shift. There are no words to describe that shift. I'm shaken, to be honest. The pleas for help on social media from folks who couldn't get out & the folks stuck in their attics.. I just.. I'm rattled. That was a rough shift. The damage is extensive along our coast.💔😭
📣Now that it's been announced internally at our office, I can announce that I have been promoted to Lead Meteorologist at the NWS Office in Mobile.
🌟I was the first female general meteorologist hired at this office & I'll be the first female lead meteorologist at this office.
Just had someone call the office and ask when evacuations begin for Mobile County because she thought the hurricane was going to hit Alabama... I had to explain why it wasn't hitting our area and then was told she didn't believe me.
...so how's YOUR day going.
To visualize the storm surge that occurred 50 years ago during Hurricane #Camille, this photo shows just how high the water rose along the Mississippi coastline. That's a LOT of water...
Meteorologists questioning why there were fatalities during Buffalo's blizzard need to be actively listening on social media this week. Our one-size-fits-all method for pushing out preparedness & safety tips is good for many, but does not and will not ever apply to everyone. 1/3
Telling people in one of the poorest cities in the country that they should’ve stocked up on 2 weeks worth of food and batteries when they are systematically living paycheck to paycheck is beyond me smh.
💜👩🔬 As one of only 2 female meteorologists in my office, I'm rocking purple on my midnight shift to show support for the need for more women in STEM fields. #DressForSTEM#WomenInSTEM#WomenOfNOAA
How I'm still awake enough for a decent picture is beyond me 🤷🏼♀️☕
I'm still in shock that I was even nominated for this award, let alone won @nwas Member of the Year.
I seriously could not do what I do without the support of an amazing Social Media Committee & NWA HQ staff/board/committees.
Thank you ALL. #NWAS20
For her tireless leadership and hard work in 2020, not just for leading the NWA Social Media Committee, but for spearheading awareness campaigns such as #SafePlaceSelfie, #WhyINWA, and Hurricane Awareness Week. Congratulations @morganabigail! #NWAS20
💜👩🔬 As the only female meteorologist in my office, I'm wearing purple today to show support for the need for more women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields. #DressForSTEM#WomenInSTEM
💜👩🔬 As one of four female meteorologists working at the NWS Mobile/Pensacola Office, I'm rocking purple on #DressForSTEM Day to show support for the need for more women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields. #WomenInSTEM#WomenOfNOAA#NWSDressForSTEM#PiDay
💜👩🔬 As one of only 2 female meteorologists currently working at the NWS Mobile/Pensacola Office, I'm wearing purple on #DressForSTEM Day to show support for the need for more women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields. #WomenInSTEM#WomenOfNOAA
