For those keeping score at home, last week Bernie Sanders called Netanyahu a racist, people were up in arms over that description of an Israeli prime minister, and then today Netanyahu literally said that Arab votes do not count when determining who wins an election

A reminder that Hamas shooting rockets at Jerusalem is not because of Bibi and not because it is trying to defend al Aqsa. It is because Hamas is a terrorist organization that tries to capitalize on crises to improve its standing within Palestinian politics and society.

This is even worse than the video. โ€œRemember this day foreverโ€ is an explicit appeal to create a Lost Cause movement that lasts for decades. He needs to be removed from office now to ensure that his behavior isnโ€™t imitated.

THREAD: Banning Omar and Tlaib from Israel is possibly the most short-sighted and counterproductive thing that the Israeli government will have done in years 1/

The ennui among Democrats after having won back the House with one of the largest popular vote margins in House history is the most Democrat-y thing I have ever seen.

Donโ€™t underplay the significance of Natalie Portman canceling her Genesis Prize trip to Israel. This is not about a wealthy actress who is turning down a $2 million prize that she doesnโ€™t need, or about the BDS crowd sinking their claws into another naive celebrity 1/

Isnโ€™t it amazing how when Israel says it accidentally shot a civilian in the middle of an actual conflict zone with live fire from both sides, it is an automatic war crime, but rockets against Israel civilian areas can always be accidents when convenient?

Impressive ingenuity and execution, and devastating to Palestinians in Gaza and to anyone who has argued in favor of humanitarian assistance and reconstruction over the past 15 years

Enormously disappointing decision by @AOC to withdraw from @PeaceNowUS Rabin event. There is no such thing as a peacemaker without war, which is inherently nasty and blood-soaked. There is no such thing as peace without complexity and compromise. This sends a terrible message.

This is horrific and needs to be treated like the emergency it is. The Jewish community should not accept any excuses, rationalizations, attempts to explain it away as anomalous, or half-assed efforts to address it. This is the United States, not the Pale of Settlement
UPDATE: At least 3 people have been stabbed by a man with a machete inside a Rabbi's home in Monsey, New York. @AielloTV reports at least 5 people have been hospitalized. More here: cbsloc.al/2MEzpHV #CBSNewYork

Anyone who describes what Donald Trump did yesterday as "Jewish outreach" or "speaking out against antisemitism" when he ominously warned that if he loses "Jewish people would have a lot do with a loss" is not credible. It's treating Jewish safety as a protection racket.

The terrorist was clearly motivated by events in Israel and Gaza. He went to a Jewish museum where a Jewish org was holding an event and shot at random people he assumed were Jews. Thatโ€™s textbook antisemitism, no matter his supposed political cause. This isnโ€™t complicated.

Stunning that @IlhanMN is spending her first few weeks as a Congresswoman spreading anti-Semitic tropes about moneyed Jews buying off elected officials, particularly after what was clearly a bullshit walkback of the โ€œhypnotized the worldโ€ tweet. 1/2

For anyone unsure of how Netanyahu is responding to Trump's election, appointing Yechiel Leiter as the next Israeli ambassador to Washington is as clear a signal is it gets. It is placing all of his chips on a singular policy direction 1/
