I’m Scottish. Tax me more if it means no-one goes hungry. It’s called community. Society. I’m in. Are you?

In 2014, I talked Scotland down. It was wrong. I’m sorry. I was a Better Together spokesperson. I’ve changed my mind. Scotland has a wonderful future ahead if we become independent. We need a new referendum. Scotland has to choose her path. It is happening.

When I first met Nicola Sturgeon in her 20s as a lawyer she was the embodiment of an #Indy Scotland. I wasn’t. We got on and I loved her passion. The FM is in it to win it. I fought for the UK. I’ve changed my mind and have went No to Yes. I trust her judgment. I trust Nicola.

I’m not a Scottish nationalist. For all former No voters like me it’s important to realise that self determination for Scotland isn’t about nationalism. It’s about common sense. I’m a Scottish pragmatist. We have to be better, kinder and fairer to people. All people.

Shout out to @NicolaSturgeon. Knockin’ yer pan in. Doing your very best for Scotland and the U.K. Kindest person I know. It’s appreciated. Trust me.

Scotland is a disaster. According to NHS Scotland and other Scottish public bodies policies I can walk into a women’s changing room tomorrow and say hey I’m female. Bingo. I have that right. Total nonsense in law.

If we are going to treat the North of England as enemies I'm out. I don't want to live in an independent Scotland that treats our brothers and sisters like that. You've lost me. You've lost Scotland.

A flag is a symbol. Those flying the Saltire in Edinburgh want Scotland to be better, kinder, fairer. A country that includes all races and religions, and those with none. A country that doesn’t need food banks. A country that sets her own destiny. That’s a flag worth flying.

There is one thing certain in my humble opinion. Scotland has more chance of becoming independent and more equal, egalitarian and fairer with Nicola Sturgeon as FM.

Needs to be said. Independence for Scotland has nothing to do with nationalism, tartan or Brigadoon. Scotland wants to govern itself. It’s what all countries around the world do. We can do better running our own affairs. It ain’t nationalist, nationalism, or populism.

Spent four years with our First Minister to change things. Waste of time. No clue. All about her. No leadership.

Let’s be clear. @jk_rowling is an outstanding person who stands up for what she believes in. Common sense and biology. A true hero. Does the talk and then walks the walk. Helps others. A modern day Robin Hood. Takes from the male angry idiots and gives to the ladies. Genius.

Nicola, as First Minister, would never claim to be infallible. She represents a kinder, inclusive, form of politics where every voice is equal and respected regardless of status, colour or creed. That’s my vision for Scotland. I for one am grateful we have her leading the nation.

Just like tens of thousands of activist Scots, I will be redoubling my efforts to work hard for a landslide @theSNP victory at Holyrood in May 2021. Scotland will be independent. It's a moral, ethical, and public interest imperative.
