    Kody Groves, the head football coach of the Poteet High School Pirates, has been named the new Mesquite ISD athletic director. Groves will replace Steve Bragg, who is retiring at the end of the 2018-19 school year.

    Terrance Orr II has been named head football coach for @RalphHPoteetHS. Orr began his coaching career as a football & track assistant coach for the Pirates in 2012. He returns with 13 years of experience, most recently as Offensive Coordinator at Hebron HS. @mesquiteisdATH

    Mesquite HHS football program held the "Opening Ceremonies" of HORN HEROES, which pairs football players with a student in the SPED program. Players will focus time on their student buddy. This wonderful program is already off to a great start! #SomethingGood @LauraHarrisNBC5
