I have come across a series of interpretations of famous figures as they would look today. Here’s Julius Caesar looking like he enjoys a flat white and works as a senior manager in Google

We have a new arrival…world meet Bran the dog. And yes, he’s as mischievous as he looks P.S. he’s a rescue pup so don’t give out to me about buying a dog before Christmas please. Saw him and simply had to bring him home.

In 1518 the Archduke Ferdinand of Habsburg found himself and his fleet unexpectedly in Ireland, thanks to stormy weather. While there, one of his aides, a young man named Laurent Vital (age 16) wrote an account of their time there. It is extraordinary for many reasons >

I now have Kathy’s email (she’s asked for book recs-he didn’t) and as I keyed it into my phone we grinned at each other and then her and now pale, quiet Ted strolled away. Ted will never spout medieval bullshit again for fear a raging medievalist lies in wait. Enjoyed that.
