Check out our new @vast introduction video. We are ready to build the lower cost, commercial successor to the International Space Station - starting with Haven-1 launching next year.
It is depressing that fundamental technology and cost reduction pushes for the benefit of humanity are cheered along this way 😩. While the same media delivers positive puff pieces about non existent technology and fake entrepreneurs daily.
I’m seriously confident SpaceX can put together any Armageddon movie style last minute space mission to do anything - including saving the ISS or one day nuking an incoming asteroid. They would nail it and do it faster than anyone could.
Often hear objections about future Mars settlement arguing isolation, danger, and indoor confinement will be miserable. Antarctica settlers likely demonstrate the opposite - most humans are happier in adventure/purpose with limited resources than at home in safety and comfort.
Proud to unveil the final design of @vast Haven-1, scheduled to be the world’s first commercial space station. We are not building a luxury hotel in space, we are applying design to enhance crew cohesion, productivity, safety, communication to help sovereign astronauts and
What a launch night and team at @vast !
And thanks for the ride, SpaceX. Haven Demo’s mission success has turned us into a proven spacecraft company. The next step will be to become an actual commercial space station company next year. Something no one has achieved yet.
Proudly Made in 🇺🇸 at Vast HQ.
Haven-1, the world's first commercial space station and America’s next space station, is now fully welded and will soon begin testing ahead of integration.
Awesome to watch tonight’s SpaceX Vandy Falcon 9 launch from Venice beach in LA. Jellyfish and fairing halves interacting with the second stage plume. 🚀 @SpaceX@Starlink
Decades have passed since a space station primary structure has been manufactured in the United States 🇺🇸. @vast is changing that. Our Haven-1 qualification primary structure is in its final stage of welding at our HQ facility. Next, the completed structure will go to our
SpaceX has the grit and Starlink’s financial strength that could allow 10+ equal or worse outcome flights and still bring us to Mars this decade. This is the price one has to be ready to pay to innovate through fast iteration. Plus, now booster catches are already routine?
Never give up! After Falcon 1 Flight 3, we learned the hard way that ‘the night is darkest just before the dawn.’ Keep your head up, keep pushing. We’re gonna get there.
🧵📈🛰 This is not a projection— There’s a general lack of perspective and awareness of the accelerating growth in space infrastructure.
Led by @SpaceX; it’s an opportunity more significant than the early days of the internet. Charts made possible by @planet4589 GCAT dataset.
Special moment the night before the first ever Starship launch attempt to orbit. Awesome to hang with @johnkrausphotos and witness him capturing some of his historic photos. 🚀🍀
