- Being a board director is a big part the work I do as a VC. I love it. Often people ask me.... what is that like? Here are my thoughts on it:
- Robotics has been a challenging field for years, AI has changed the game and the time is now. Today, we are announcing our investment in @CovariantAI. Excited for our journey with @pabbeel and Peter Chen:
- Great to see opinions changing on the viability of nuclear energy:
- ‘@confluentinc celebrates its IPO! Their evolution from open-source project to enterprise data platform surpassed only by personal transformations - incredible for me to witness.
- Congrats to the entire @scale_AI team - for everyone that works there today and all those who have contributed over time. And, for @alexandr_wang, working with you has been one of the best experiences of my career. Thank you. You will be missed, but we will keep building. My note to Scale employees today—
- Watching @alexandr_wang grow as a leader right alongside the @scale_AI business has been one of the highlights of my career. What started as making labeled data for AV has grown into so much more. Spectacular journey & example for entrepreneurs everywhere.
- This headline is silly & clickbaity. Scale is doing exactly what every growth company should do: set ambitious targets. Facts about Scale that weren’t in the headline: - Rev grew 2.5x YoY in 2024. - >$1.5B in new business over 2024 - projecting further sizable growth in 2025.
- Nothing in my professional career and personal life will ever top the privilege of being @dannyrimer 's partner and friend. He deserves every credit he gets. forbes.com/sites/iainmart…
- Just so proud of @shardul_shah and the team and @IndexVentures for this win. Shardul's relationship with the @wiz_io team began way back with Adallom and lead to the first check into Wiz. Tireless conviction for this company and the people over the year. Just. Amazing.Google has announced its intention to acquire @wiz for $32bn, subject to regulatory approval. Huge congrats to @AssafRappaport, @amiluttwak, Roy Reznik, Yinon Costica and their team for building a once-in-a-generation company. A few thoughts on their extraordinary journey.
- One of the topics I have thought a lot about over the years is the tradeoff between Innovation & Optimization. Here is my thought pieces on the subject: indexventures.com/perspectives/i… Thank-you to @arachleff and @thethomaslayton for the help in thinking through this.
- Gutenberg invented the printing press when only 8% of Europeans knew how to read - great lesson for entrepreneurs #TED2014
- Most companies optimize for looking busy instead of being productive. The difference: busy feels urgent and scattered. Productive feels calm and intentional. Your energy is finite. Spend it on what actually moves the needle.
