To every democracy loving North Carolinian: today's rulings are a gut punch, but it is always darkest before it is light. We must organize for next year's elections and overcome any gerrymander with sheer turnout. We can do this!

- So I'm at the @CrackerBarrel in Mebane and this man (who also isn't wearing a mask) has his handgun strapped to his waist. And I just have to wonder how insecure this dude must be? I wonder if Cracker Barrel condones intimidating guests like this. #gunsense #guncontrol
- Pride has returned to downtown Hillsborough! In 2021, Duke Energy notified us that flags weren't allowed after a homophobe called and complained. We negotiated an agreement to have banners. I'm proud this small but impactful gesture shows everyone is welcome in our small town.
- I shouldn't be locked in a restaurant on Franklin Street because of an armed and dangerous person. I shouldn't been texting friends and other folks that I know on campus to see if they're okay. This isn't normal. It doesn't have to be this way.
- I hope law enforcement is taking nothing off the table, including domestic terrorism related to this situation in Moore County. Sabotaging infrastructure for political purposes is text book terrorism.
- While campaigning today the hate and violence in NY felt closer. At a fav minority owned biz of mine, I went to the restroom. Someone had carved a swaztika in the door with "Trump 2024" and "kill all n******s." My blood ran cold & I got angry. We must stamp out bigotry, hate.
