    So, I was wondering why the battery on my laptop was running down every time I left it at home. Turns out the kids have been using my election leaflets to get through the facial recognition lock... I’m not sure whether to be proud by the wit or concerned by the sneakiness?

    Petrol is almost €2 a litre. Home heating oil has gone up from an average of €550 to €700 in a matter of days. People are crying out for help. Just how bad will this crisis have to get before this government takes action?

    This evening in EP Strasbourg @EP_President made a call for respect for freedom & human dignity. I thought it appropriate to ask when he would speak for these principles regarding #Catalonia His refusal to respond was disappointing but not surprising #HumanRightsDay #Hypocrisy
