- “How’s everyone doing tonight” “Wooo” “Cmon you can do better than that, let’s try again. How’s everyone doing tonight” has got to be one of the most irritating modern human experiences
- When I first got into philosophy I thought you could just pick up some seminal text by Kant or whoever and read it. I didn’t know you already had to be well versed in the entire history of western thinking first.
- Replying to @matt_olmaThe funny thing is that within the family, this actually works. My gf bought her dad a Father’s Day card back in June and signed her name. Her dad opened it, read it, and teared up. And my gf felt responsible for his response to it because “she picked the card”. Wild.

- Replying to @PAHoyeckI went to buy a card for someone’s birthday a couple weeks ago and spent 20 minutes looking through a wall of options trying to find a blank one. They don’t exist. There’s a whole untapped market out there waiting to be exploited.
- Most people I know irl can only stomach conversations about anything remotely philosophical for a few minutes. Some get downright mad when anything abstract gets brought up. What’s with that
- Getting into phenomenology. Can you recommend any experiences for beginners?
- Replying to @addyman_michaelIt’s a good question. There’s probably an answer somewhere in western literature.
