    Niece and nephew collect birthday/Eid money and pay Zakat on it 😀 It is a 'pillar' of Islam to annually pay 2.5% of our wealth as charity. I sent them this pic - people who work on the streets as trash pickers eating a wholesome meal supported by their Zakat contributions ❤

    Not everyone thinks or empathises beyond their own lived experiences. Bollywood nepotism saga is her lived experience, so she can passionately critique, but Hindutva politics is opportunistic and zero empathy for Muslims, so being on the wrong side doesn't feel wrong.

    Enough is enough. @atulkochhar has apologised for getting the Islamic date wrong, but not for his bigotry (!). The toxic anti-Muslim climate in India is encouraging these bigots to crawl out of the woodworks. But globally, this bigotry will not go unnoticed.
