- When Amjad told me about the offer, his biggest concern was that the acquiring conglomerate would kill the mission. He said it felt like Replit is his Holy Grail. Mind you, we were making near-poverty wages for SF at the time because we wanted to stay “default alive.”I guess I’m “the foolish” type for turning down $1b acquisition when Replit was 6 people.
- Competence is rare. - I wrote a proxy in Bun in 30 minutes, deployed in a couple of minutes on Replit to serve a production use-case many of our users will soon be hitting. It felt so good knowing that what I wrote can in theory run client side with no compilation other than stripping types. Usingbun is so nice to use. this is all i need to run a web server

- "Almost no breaking changes" would be stellar—if Vercel actually documented them. Every version had silent breaks and we’re left dodging them while they rewrite changelogs.
