If BAMA had lost to SC by two and then SC limped to a 9-3 finish losing to TWO mediocre teams while BAMA won 6 in a row with the hottest player in the country leading them, BAMA would ONE BILLION PERCENT leap frog SC for the at large.
This is not even debatable to me.
#2 Texas, #8 SMU, #9 Indiana and #12 Miami are a combined 0-6 vs CURRENT CFP Top 25 Teams. South Carolina has more top 25 wins than all those teams combined. Total wins over quality wins, really makes this an invitational and not a legit playoff.
I usually defend @B1Gfootball team for playing sound and being tough. I didn’t peg Bielema as type to color outside the lines so blatantly with a smile on his face. I always thought he was a good football coach. Isn’t faking an injury a penalty? Tell me #45 isn’t faking here.
Someone explain why the ref over the ball has to wait for DEF players to LEAVE the field? The rule says they have to give DEF time to sub IN players. Waiting for them to LEAVE the field as they purposely lolligag off is literally just the ref helping them not get penalized.
Indiana has ONE, I repeat ONE win over a team with a winning record. 7-5 Michigan. They have 9 wins versus teams without winning records. And a loss to Ohio State by 3 scores.
Miami, Bama, Ole Miss, AND SC deserve it over Indiana.
When the 30 for 30 is produced that exposes #ESPN for being in on it with the refs to protect the big market teams for the higher paying matchups, what network will actually air it?
Just the notion that “teams not playing a championship game has no data point to consider” proves how silly the system is. Because Ole Miss and S.C. resumes get significantly better with UGA and Clemson wins this weekend. Those are in fact “data points” worth considering.
To all Illinois Fans:
I want to take a minute and write a thread to communicate a few fundamental ideas to the Illini who may think SC fans are lunatics only making excuses.
Spread the word. The University of South Carolina is where you want to be if you want to become legendary!
Folks involved in the next few years of this program will go down as the greatest to ever do it here. Screenshot this and show me I’m wrong someday.
Let’s keep in touch.
