1/ Under Ohio's new abortion restrictions, women with non-viable, partially delivered fetuses have had to look at adoption literature, say whether they want to hear the heartbeat and then wait 24 hours or for the heartbeat to stop before termination can start...

6/ Doctors warned Ohio Republicans that all these things would happen under Senate Bill 23. Now they say they are. My latest:

I'm a reporter, but I don't have to be neutral about democracy. In fact, all of us in the press have a responsibility to fight in our way for democracy. Especially on D-Day, none of us should be neutral about this if we want to be patriots and truly honor these heroes. /end

Ohio's Catholic bishops take J.D. Vance, a Catholic and several other Ohio leaders, many of whom are also Catholic, for spreading false rumors about Haitians in Springfield.

On this 80th anniversary of D-Day, it's super important to remember that they risked all and gave all for democracy. After the 2020 election and around J6, I watched the opening scene of "Saving Private Ryan" over and over. Those guys were jumping off of Higgins boats and into 1/

3/ Doctors with patients in the most dire emergencies, such a severe pre-viability preeclampsia, first call the lawyers and then agonize over whether the abortion they're performing to save a life will land them in jail, get them sued or cost them their medical license.

2/ ... all implying that they're making a choice when they're really not. Another woman, just after getting the devastating news that the umbilical cord had detached from her pre-viable fetus, had to do the same things. She waited 14 hours for the heartbeat to stop.

5/ ..all the while answering unintentionally cruel questions about when the baby's due, its gender, what the name's going to be, etc. And, simply by carrying a pointless pregnancy to term, they face a 14 times greater risk than if they terminate.

4/ Women with much-desired pregnancies have been shattered to learn that the fetus they're carrying has fatal abnormalities such as anencephaly. In Ohio, they have to find the resources to get an abortion out of state or carry on the pregnancy for months...

In a bipartisan ruling, OH Supreme Court says @GovMikeDeWine, @FrankLaRose and other GOP redistricting commissioners committed "a stunning rebuke of law."

Turns out that J.D. Vance's now-shuttered anti-addiction charity hired a doc with a record of questioning the link between prescription opioids, addition and overdose. Amazing work by AP's @jcarrsmyth

A top public concern is high grocery prices. Yet attorneys general in Ohio and 12 other states are in court trying to push through a mega-merger between two of the largest chains in the U.S. And they're using an anti-regulatory argument that's in Project 2025 to do it.
Ohio AG Dave Yost and 11 others filed a brief Monday in federal court arguing the FTC's attempt to block the Kroger and Albertsons merger is unconstitutional. The argument made by the AGs tracks closely with a proposal made in Project 2025. @martyschladen ohiocapitaljournal.com/2024/09/26/ohi…

and a little fame for. Our ancestors risked all — gave all — for a transcendent gift that too many of our leaders are happy to crap all over and possibly destroy so long as they get something out of it. 9/
