I was 72 years old on Tuesday, I have never felt more pessimistic about the future of the world. The relentless rise of the right scares me rigid. Am I alone?

- The rape and abuse of a Sikh woman by two white men is a stark indication of where our country is heading. Media coverage is bare minimum. If two immigrants had done this to a white woman, headlines for days and days.
- There are a host of reasons why I would never vote for Reform UK but the number one reason is that I am not thick.
- Fascism nearly destroyed the world 1939- 1945. Bizarrely millions of people in the West want to give it another go. Bloody mental!
- Did it never occur to anyone in government that it was strange that so many postmasters had suddenly become criminals?!
- No British PM has ever been invited to the Presidential Inauguration. So what is the big deal with Starmer not being invited?
- I am 70. I am not going fruit picking. I have already worked and paid my taxes etc for 42 years. These right wing corrupt bandits can go fuck themselves!
- I’m so sick to death of Reform UK dominating this platform. I hate everything they stand for. They are sick demented assholes who want to create a regime resembling Nazi Germany. Horrific times ahead if they ever get into power. Shout me down if you want, but I won’t change.
- Sikh woman raped, nine year old black girl shot in Bristol, but we shouldn’t worry about racism fuelled by the antics of the far right Forgive me if I ignore people who deny it.
- Yesterday I spent over five hours in Southampton General Hospital with my very poorly 17 month old grandson. All the staff and care was exemplary. Please never let Farage and Reform get their grubby greedy hands on our NHS.
- Suella Braverman: Parents from Mauritius and Kenya and a Buddhist married to a white Jew. But she doesn’t think multiculturalism in the UK is a good thing. The hypocrisy of the elite is staggering.
- In other news, Starmer behaves like a Prime Minister prepared to deal with fascism. A difficult task. The decent people in this country should support him wholeheartedly.
- Am I part of a rare breed of people prepared to give our government more than eight weeks to put right fourteen years of total disaster. If so, I plead guilty but still optimistic.
- Reform UK supporters, are you all looking forward to paying for private healthcare..Can you all afford it?
