It is frightening to think that 9 years have now elapsed since Grills passed away. The wee man was a great pal and a true friend. Our memories shared will last forever. GBNF!!!! ๐๐โฝ๐๐ช๐๐

- Replying to @CelticFCA really lovely guy. Was my next door neighbour for many years. We would often play football against each other in my back garden, whilst he was at Celtic and I was at school. My sincere condolences to all of the family. In my thoughts and prayers x. ๐ข๐๐
- Last game of 2021 for The Ref today. It was good to finish on a high note and I even received some unexpected praise from a coach!!!! ๐โฝ๐๐๐๐
- The Ref was doing his bit to promote the girls game this afternoon. I was asked to Referee a mini tournament at u18s level for Ayr United, Drumchapel United & This Girl Kicks. Some fantastic talent on display. I was really impressed by the football played by all 3 teams!!!! ๐๐
- It is always nice to see positive posts about Referees. Even more so when it is about yourself. Really nice touch from the Cunninghame coach, especially when his team lost the game. Most appreciated!!!! ๐โฝ๐๐
- Due to a late call off The Ref stepped in for Troon Juniors v Maryhill Juniors (West of Scotland Football League) this afternoon, in a friendly. No ARs & no cards required. Christened my new purple kit & grass football boots too!!! #TheRefNeverStops ๐โฝ๐๐
- The Ref is officially in recovery mode. It would be fair to say that I had comfortably the worst experience that I have encountered since beginning Refereeing almost 8 years ago now, this weekend!!!! ๐ฅโฝ๐๐ #TheRefNeverStops
- The Ref was being "observed" today in his Amateurs game for about the first time in almost 4 years. You know you must be doing ok, when the observer says I am struggling to come up with areas you could improve upon. The game was a cruise to be fair!!!! ๐โฝ๐๐ #TheRefNeverStops
- The Ref was doing the rounds at the Juniors grounds today. First up in the morning was an u13s cup tie at Kilbirnie Ladeside FC. In the afternoon it was an Amateurs league game at Largs Thistle FC!!!! ๐โฝ๐๐ #TheRefNeverStops

- The Ref was back in action this morning on Scottish Cup duties. A cracking game - Kilwinning Rangers Madrid v Hampden (2008s). Must be doing something right, as I received plaudits after the game in huge numbers from coaches & parents alike on both sides!!!! #TheRefNeverStops ๐
