Today has been my toughest day yet as Chairman of @WorsbroughBFC. On a personal note I want to say a massive thanks to @leemoz9 for his 3 years. Regardless of opinions I have nothing but praise for his work (7th place/Cup Semi). As a man and manager I have nothing but respect.

It is absolutely devastating to see the pitch flooded again by the River Dove, the 3rd time in 3 years. Gutted for the hardworking volunteers that work so hard & for our fantastic teams. We invest heavily to make the pitch as good as we can but no investment can stop this.

Today we reached 3000 fans at our home games at The Pinto Property Stadium for the 1st time ever. With an average over 130 & 7th best in the league its a far cry from 5 years ago when we were averaging less than 40 & played 1 game in front of 10 fans! Thanku for your support.

To every @NCEL manager, player, match official and supporter whose season starts today its finally the day we have all been waiting for ⚽ The world is uncertain, go and enjoy the game, give 100% and enjoy it. No-one know what is round the corner so make every matchday matter.

I don't often tweet straight after a game when emotions are running high and after a defeat but tonight I am f@cking proud of my club, players and management team. We go again on Saturday ⚽️

4 years ago today I was proud to become Chairman of this fantastic club - it has never been dull ⚽ I have worked with & met some fantastic people. The world of non-league football is hardwork but is massively rewarding. If you want to get involved my advice is DO IT 🤜 #UTB

Any proposal to restart football at @NCEL level without supporters is madness. Offering grants (loans) is neither helpful or financially helpful if you can't afford to pay the money back. No income plus ongoing costs means clubs will not survive. #voteno #letfansin

Everyone seems to have an NCEL opinion here is mine. Can't criticise the player(s) if they are offered money that pays their mortgage etc then hard to turn down. Can't criticise the club, if they believe it's financially sustainable then it's up to the custodians of the club.

We have waited a long time for today and bearing in mind I was awake at 6 I think it is fair to say I am excited ⚽ Good luck to all the NCEL teams, match officials, volunteers and supporters. It has been a tough 18 months but today is going to be worth the hard work & waiting.

Sometimes players don't get the credit they deserve and today after our @NCEL game away at @Wakefield_AFC 2 young fans asked our goalkeeper @rosspritchard9 if they could have his gloves, which he had no hesitation in handing over - Well done Ross 👏

Extremely proud to be Chairman of @WorsbroughBFC at this time. Supporters are turning up in numbers (up 46%), sponsors are investing in us, our teams are increasing in numbers. Thanks to everyone for helping us get to this stage & together we will keep getting stronger.

One of the many great things about being part of a community football club is the chance to be able to help & support people in Barnsley. Today we were fortunate to be supported by @shopjacksuk with food for kids in the area & tomorrow we look forward to support @BarnsleySamari1

Winterton sacking their manager in NCEL. Wow very strange.......40% win ratio, 4 points from top of the league with a game in hand and the last club standing in FA Vase. Seems harsh to me...... Good luck @Robwatson774 i am sure you will be back soon.

I personally think the @ShawLaneAFC story is pretty sad- whatever your thoughts I don't think you can criticise a guy that had a dream to run a football club, finance it and end up in the FA Cup proper. I know others will disagree but i think he should be applauded not criticised
