- Tonight, I explained the historic significance of @KamalaHarris's election as VP to my 4-year-old twin daughters. One proclaimed "This calls for a dance party!" So we had one. It was epic.
- OpenAI investors (like @Microsoft) need to step up and demand that the governance weaknesses at @OpenAI be fixed. Yes, they should do right by @sama. But, regardless, decisions around leadership & direction in a technology as important as fire and electricity can't be decided by
- “Don’t forget to send me that photo!” How many times have you said that? And, how often have you actually gotten the photo? Maybe 20% of the time? The reality is photo sharing is broken. (1/12)
- When I joined Google, we had just raised money at a $100M valuation. So proud to see it hit the storied $1T market cap today! #10000x
- Thinking about what's next, I returned to my roots, rented the original Google office where I started my career, and founded a lab with my longtime friend and teammate @eamunozt. A bit of info: lumilabs.com
- Move-in day! Today is @Sunshine's 1st day in our new office, which also happens to be Facebook's 1st office. The "Be Nice or Leave" pillow made the move with us :)
- I’m sad too - the crazy governance model allowed this to happen. The fact that Ilya now regrets just shows how broken and underadvised they are/were. They call them board deliberations because you are supposed to be deliberate.Honestly, this is all just deeply sad. Something very special broke this weekend. There will be new things to be excited about soon, but right now I feel grief.
- My amazing husband (@zackbogue ) and kids got up early and made the legendary @Cipriani Vanilla Meringue Cake that I love. I was absolutely blown away, and it’s even more delicious than it looks! Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms out there!
- But, second and perhaps more importantly, what the @openai mess has really shown is that one of the most tremendous and important technologies/companies of our time is being governed by only 4(!!!) independent directors.
