What society see:
• Used car
• Small house
• Pasar malam clothes
• Mixed rice every day
What they don't see:
• 50% saving rate
• Life with options
• 6-7 digits investments
• Multiple income sources
Don't simple judge people, as true wealth is not always visible.

- A guy drives RM150k Toyota Camry with an RM120k car loan but only RM1k in the bank, people think he's rich. A guy drives RM8k Proton Saga with no car loan but RM50k in the bank, people think he's broke. Can't deny a car reflects our status, but wealth is what we can't see.
- EPF is underrated. It can be your wealth-building machine if you use it right. At 25 with - RM3k monthly salary - Average 6% return annually At 55, your EPF will have: - RM683,062 - 163.5% higher than your contribution This not even including your increment & bonus yet.
- My parents were paying RM160 for their phone bills every month. It's a postpaid plan without any phone, only calls & data. And they have Wi-Fi at home. 25GB of mobile data for each person. It's like a scam to me. Then...
- How much should you save to have RM10,000 in a year? RM833.33 every month or RM191.80 every week or RM27.40 every day Break down your goal into small numbers, and it will seem achievable 💪
- "My monthly salary is RM5,000" But you only received RM4,300+ after deducting EPF, SOCSO, and PCB. So I like to tell myself that I only earn RM4.3k (the net income), not RM5k (the gross income). This way I won't spend too much. It works for me.
- Let say my basic monthly salary is RM5k. But after deducting EPF, SOCSO, and PCB, my salary becomes RM4.3k (deduct ~15%) So I prefer to tell myself that my income is only RM4.3k, not RM5k. This way I won't overspend my money. It works for me.
- The typical path of adulthood: - Get a stable job - Buy a new car - Buy a house - Find a partner - Get married Perhaps the "better version" of adulthood: - Explore passions - Buy an affordable/used car - Learn how to invest - Build passive incomes - Know that life is not a race
- My Phone Bill in 2022: Jan: RM10 Feb: RM12.21 Mar: RM17.76 Apr: RM14.42 May: RM17.06 Jun: RM13.17 Jul: RM12.99 Aug: RM19.54 Sep: RM20.78 Oct: RM25.7 Nov: RM9.13 Dec: RM8.48 Average Phone Bill in 2022: RM15.10 My target in 2023 - Less than RM10 ✊
- If you're 25 years old with salary RM3K, your EPF contribution will be RM8,640 annually. (11% from you, 13% from employer) With 6% return, your EPF will have RM724K when you're 55 years old. If possible, DON'T touch your EPF money and let it grow. 🌾
- When I was a fresh grad, I hate EPF. Because to me, EPF makes me poorer. Why are we forced to contribute part of our salary to EPF? Why we cannot withdraw our money from EPF? Can’t we manage the money ourselves? But after learning more about EPF, my view changed 180 degrees.
- Trust me, it's never-ending when your goal is to pursue a higher income. If you earn RM3,000, you want RM5,000. If you earn RM5,000, you want RM10,000. Control the "greed" by knowing your "enough". Then you will find yourself happier when you reached a certain level of income.
- My "enough" monthly salary is RM10k. With this number, I know when I should slow down and enjoy my life more. Being super rich is not my life goal anyway. Your "enough" salary should allow you to: - save at least 50% of it - build 6 months emergency fund in less than 1 year
- The investment apps I'm currently using: - iSpeed (Rakuten Trade) - Wahed - StashAway - Versa - myASNB - i-Akaun What investing apps you have in your phone?
