So today I did the London marathon. It was ace. My time was 2h 55m 19s. Which is ok as I’m quite old! Feel tired! The people cheering on from the crowds are incredible in their generosity, and the organisation is incredible. Thank you everyone involved :-)

Have created a new wordpress site as a place for articles, publications, video on addressing educational disadvantage. Will build it over the coming months. I have added the recent handbook on addressing disadvantage published in June. I hope it's helpful

I do think that before too much time is spent planning how pupils will come back into school in June, greater clarity is needed about *why*. Once that is clearer, the quality / amount of provision can be better planned and implemented.

Some resources that might help colleagues leading on addressing disadvantage and Pupil Premium. A: what do we mean by disadvantage?

On 15 February our new book on addressing disadvantage will be published. It’s a partnership between @UnityResSch and Essex LA. I hope everyone who reads it finds it helpful. @JohnCattEd

Here is a short video about focussing on the underlying causes of inconsistent attendance, rather than symptoms. This is about the role of schools. But schools can't solve this alone. Partnership with families, other agencies (esp health) and govt is key.

I have written a short article about disadvantaged pupils, distance learning and school closures. I hope it's helpful: researchschool.org.uk/unity/news/dis… @UnityResSch
