It felt very safe last night in New Orleans. Cops everywhere. On foot, on horseback, in cars. I mean everywhere. Bourbon Street was well-lit. Happy crowds. The police seemed as prepared as you could want.
This was the last picture I took as I walked back to my hotel at 2:30 am.
So, I was a bawling mess. Minneapolis Roosevelt High School held a march to George Floyd Square and…cue the waterworks. I have learned so much from these young people about the work I have had to do at 38th and Chicago Ave. in pursuit of justice. They continue to teach me.
