Content creators hurt MBTL early. DBFZ was a key factor in anime FG getting big and when some of it’s content creators started clowning on MBTL’s “drip” and making low level assessments of the game’s mechanics week 1, players just took it as gospel without forming their own

Before this causes a bunch of drama, i just want to let it be known, I wish we as a community would focus on other things besides "cool combos" that we all will inevitably see thousands of times in our favorite games. There is more to fighting games out there.

Nah I actually don't mind this at all. Most of the time you can use that to maybe give them a pointer or just brighten their day a bit. The real problem to me is when someone is aggressive after a set because it's super uncomfortable.

That's not expression, that's knowledge. I have two metered anywhere starters on Ciel that results in different oki. If I have a bar of meter, I do one, if I don't have a bar of meter at the start of the combo, I do the other. That's not combo expression. That's knowledge.

This isn’t at all what he is talking about. Players consistently do fake things that should be easy to react to and punish but because of the netcode or delay, he can’t punish them. As a result, those players repeat bad habits because they work in this particular setting.
