- This is absolute nonsense. “To Kill A Mockingbird” is about tackling racism. I trust in the professionalism of teachers to lead informed intelligent discussion about racism using literature. Banning books and virtue signalling will not address discrimination.

- Tim Martin, owner of #Wetherspoons , didn’t want to close any pubs in Ireland or Britain. He won’t pay staff /suppliers. Boycott, yes, but also the courts can refuse pub licence renewal on the basis of the character, misconduct or unfitness of the applicant - this should happen.Some move from Wetherspoon. It has suspended all payments to its Irish suppliers. Random fact: In the six months to January, Wetherspoon made a profit of £45 million.
