When a country’s minister has an M.Tech from an IIT, a business degree from Wharton, and deep on-the-ground work experience as an IAS officer, you can expect remarkable performance. But when the minister is also an engaging speaker, you get an audience of young

They forgot to add “a philanthropist and a father”. And “an entrepreneur who contributed to economic growth of Uttar Pradesh”. It’s hard to read @guardian @Reuters feed, and @BBCNews with a straight face these days. For the uninitiated, these two were among the most dreaded

Vegetarians who shun meat for philosophical, religious, ethical, or sustainability reasons have as much of a right to avoid using utensils that have touched non-vegetarian food as do Jews who can’t have non-Kosher or Muslims who can’t touch pork. Vilification of vegetarians by

Finally watched #TheKashmirFiles by @vivekagnihotri in a theater in Hyderabad. Had anticipated being moved but not saying this: the film was very restrained. And very obviously so. Anyone who is criticizing the film as a distortion hasn’t seen the film. @AnupamPKher I now know…

.@RoKhanna - today on, I will ask you once every week: - do you support the violent Khalistani movement? - Do you support their separatist demand to break up India, a country our President has called an “indispensable partner”. Your reluctance to criticize Khalistanis by name

You are a hateful politician trying to divide the diaspora community, @ZohranKMamdani. Your kind of politics doesn’t create bridges or address challenges but creates fissures and furthers divisions. The religious, regional appeal for votes is a first in NY politics. Please

Those who are trying to dismantle Hinduism may think they are doing so brick by brick: Seattle, California, etc. They may think they are winning. So did Bakhtiyar Khalji, Babar, Aurangzeb, and even British, when they tried to divide the Hindu society in made up structures.

It’s hilarious how hard western media is trying to burn ⁦@narendramodi⁩. No. of -ve stories about India & ⁦@PMOIndia⁩ have skyrocketed. (& +ve stories about oppo are going up). Likely aimed at elections in ‘24. But most Indians don’t read NYT.

World Press Freedom Index: India rank slides to 161, 11 spots behind Afghanistan. I am not making this up. When I teach folks how to do market estimates, I ask them to do a bit of real-world check. This ranking fails that basic test. Just like a dozen other rankings with a

Khalistani attack on @CGISFO is all over Indian news media. But not a peep from @nytimes, @washingtonpost, or even @sfchronicle @mercnews. No statements from any American officials. You can only imagine the response if U.S. consulate got attacked anywhere in the world. If we are

Trudeau’s crackdown on protests while criticizing India’s stance to protests there last year is exacting why I have ZERO respect for western opinions on human rights, equity, and so on. We say one thing and do another. No wonder Russia and China are gaining on us geopolitically.

There! I fixed it for you, ⁦@globeandmail⁩. Kanishka bombing. Supporting terrorists. Refusing to comply with established treaties. List of Canada’s unfriendly actions is long. Yet, India remained friendly. Time Canada took responsibility for its actions.
