You cannot claim to be an inclusive team if every work functions centers around alcohol.- I’ll be wearing my mask forever. A man hasn’t asked me to smile in over a year and in return I haven’t had to tell them to eat shit. This is the kind of balance I needed.

- Unpopular opinion: Calling your workplace “a family” gives me bad vibes and is a red flag to me. You can’t change my mind.

- If we center DEI work around white comfort we inherently center whiteness. DEI work is about de-centering whiteness and shifting the power dynamics that exist. It is okay to make white people uncomfortable in this work.
- I’m normally booked 15+ times in Black History Month, this year I’m booked *once*
- All the white women in my comments talking about how it’s normal to cry at work. Makes sense since white women use their tears as a weapon at work on the regular. The minute I’m crying at work, I’m resigning.
- Normalize founders not having to be the CEO.
- Stop letting white women take over DEI simply because they’ve worked in HR.
- You *cannot* be a good leader if you do not care about the emotional and physical wellbeing of your teams. Pass it on.
