- I believe Jack would have supported the Emergencies Act, based solidly on his principles. But I supposed that’s just my opinion.NDP loyalists are getting upset when it is pointed out, but it is simply a fact. Icons such as Tommy Douglas and Jack Layton didn't earn their places in history by being Liberal party fartcatchers like Jagmeet Singh. They stood up on principle.
- Doug voted against the Raptors practice facility he’s now standing in front of. It costed the city zero dollars.Congrats to the Toronto @Raptors for bringing an NBA Championship home and making Canada proud! #WeTheNorth

- What NOT to say in a subway full of riders to the pregnant woman who politely asked for a seat “you’re pregnant, not sick”. All of us standing within earshot spent the next 3 stops explaining how inappropriate, inconsiderate and rude he was.
- Show me your budget and I will show you your values. Cuts to education, health, transit. Distracting from these cuts with great access to alcohol.
- 7 years later, so much has changed, but my heart is still filled with love, hope and optimism that together we can build a better world. Think about the community, city, province, country and world you want and work to make it happen. #dearjack
- Toronto just passed a plan to implement a Vacant Home Tax. The purpose of housing shouldn’t be to boost an international investment portfolio. Housing is about people. This could add thousands of units back to the market and fill vacant houses in our neighbourhoods.
- For 7 years I’ve faught for a tiny change to Toronto water budget to make large industrial water polluters pay the full cost to clean effluent. Last year lost on a tie. This year....PASSED.

- 10 years ago today my dad died. It was a painful loss, but our community & country sent us love in a time of sorrow. I’m eternally grateful. His goodbye letter was meant to console & inspire us to build a more loving Canada. Join us tonight for a concert.
