An edit so good it makes you watch the movie immediately. No, but seriously, this edit haunts me and makes me feel extremely nostalgic and melancholic it perfectly captures the atmosphere of the movie

Imagine if a virus made everyone depressed and suicidal and the only cure was listening to music made by a noise music band led by Tadanobu Asano. Needless to say, I recommend this movie.

If you work in any visual medium, you should at least skim through The Color of Pomegranates. Regardless of how you feel about its absolute devotion to just pure visual symbolism, I assure you you'll come away from it with some fresh insight on color, composition and/or imagery.

I love it when photographers make movies because you end up with a ridiculously gorgeous cinematography. Also, this is the directorial debut of the Helter Skelter (2012) director, and it has the same colorful and maximalist aesthetic, but in the Edo era
