I just found an old savings bond a family member gifted me in 2011. They bought it for $25 and now 14 years later, the treasury direct website says it’s grown 1.1% per year and is worth $29.20 😭😭
Was listening to a podcast this morning & this dude started a company in his 20s & by 29 he sold it for 30M. He walked away with 20M & invested 60% in equities & 40% in fixed income. He follows a 3% withdrawal rate so the portfolio spins off $50,000 a month 🤯
Levels.
One thing I didn’t expect to learn as an adult is that showing up everyday on time with a good attitude and doing your best will set you apart from 90% of people.
We work 8 hours a day to enjoy 5 hours in the evening.
We work 5 days a week to enjoy 2 days on the weekend.
We work 48 weeks a year to enjoy 4 weeks of PTO.
We work 45 years to enjoy 10 years in retirement.
Idk about you but I just simply can’t accept that for my life.
The locals in Southern Italy said they’ll sell us a house for €1 if we’re willing to pay the taxes and renovations but they said we won’t find a single person willing to take our money and do any work
The older I get the more I realize that the secret sauce is literally just showing up every single day on time with a good attitude and doing your best
Boomers bought homes for $100k that are worth $1.5 million now and we can buy a bitcoin for $100k that’ll be worth $1.5 million in a couple decades.
I think we’ll look back and realize this was the most obvious play imaginable
One time someone told me, “If you’re ambitious enough to build wealth and retire early, you won’t be happy sitting on the beach doing nothing in retirement” and I think about that a lot.
I’m probably going to get roasted for admitting this but I don’t care…
For the last couple months I’ve been driving for Uber on the side and putting every single dollar I make from it into #bitcoin.
I’m getting to whole-coin status one way or another ASAP 🤷🏻♀️
