    This thread is an excellent demonstration of the power & potential of allies. Sincere thanks, @dlowd, for patiently explaining how you think about these things. I wish it had been enough for multiple women/POC to do so, but sometimes people just need to hear it from a white dude.

    Bad take. Lots of folks from historically oppressed communities have engaged with Yann on here in perfect civility, and without escalation. Don't make excuses for him at their expense.
