- So I woke up with something that's literally Black Hairy Tongue. People, including my doctor, seem to think it's no big deal, and will go away soon, but it certainly is gross.
- It's ridiculous how people take the lack of insane flag waving as lack of enthusiasm rather than an urge to not look like a bunch of authoritarian nutsos.
- Replying to @amandamullYears ago I was sobbing in Union Square for ludicrous reasons that felt world-ending at the time, and a young man in a sensible suit stopped and asked if I was ok. I mumble-nodded-shook my head, so he just stood there until I'd pulled myself together, then nodded and walked off.
- I like to think I'd put up a fight, but no, I'd just sit there, miserable in my window seat, wishing for the sweet respite of death.
- Replying to @cmclymerI worry about how much that is misogyny. I still don't understand the Hillary hatred, to this very day. I mean, I get have issues with certain of her policies, but the outrage? That seems fueled purely by hatred of women.

- Replying to @anamariecoxI was sobbing in Union Square by the Gandhi statue. A young man stopped and asked if I was OK. I sort of nod/shook at him. He stood beside me without saying a word until I was calmed. Then he walked away.
