- man, sony was cookin' if you told me there was a future still to come where we put screens invisibly into soft coloured plastic instead of flat black rectangles I'd completely believe you
- absolutely love this trend of drone shots that look like video game camera angles
GIF - it's so dumb - we've known for 50+ years now that if you make fans with uneven blade spacing, you can make them quieter by distributing the sound energy across more of the frequency spectrum. but you go and buy any fan for your house and they don't even bother to be better
- Replying to @letkmawhat's worse is like, they probably all come out of one factory in guangzhou - if you could just convince them to change the mold a bit the next time they replace it, you could effectively inject better design downstream into every white labelled product sold the world over

- Replying to @ThatPaddlesI think the boring answer is that as soon as players moved to including video we switched basically everything to colour screens which necessitates the black rectangle cutout design which is dumb, since no one was watching movies on a 2" screen anyway
- if any non-electronic item can have glasses-augmented smarts, really there's no limit to the things we could do: guitar tuning app without buying hardware. song tabs without pulling out a whole laptop... you could choose to have as much or as little UI around 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔
