Matthews & Marner needed all the $. They needed a new coach to replace the mean one. They needed a relaxed dress code. Needed music at practice and lots of days off. We need a fricking GOAL right now for 22.5M, and just like usual we can’t get one.

Mike Grier is the worst GM in the NHL, bar none. How do you retain on Tomas Hertl at 8.14M to get him down to 6.75M for VEGAS for the next SIX YRS after this one??? For just 2 1sts + you send 2 3rds back!?!? By far the most asinine retention in NHL history. He should be fired.

Haven’t seen anyone say this yet but Simon Benoit was amazing tonight. Such a rock back there and the only D that has been consistently crushing guys these playoffs. His hit on Marchand was electric (I watched in slo-mo about 8 times). This guy has been one of TOR’s best D-men

It’s inherently true that no die-hard Leafs/Habs/Sens/Jets/Flames/Oilers/Canucks fans will ever cheer for another Canadian team to win the Cup. We just can’t. We’re jealous and all want our team to bring it back. Besides Oiler fans obv, we’re all Dallas Stars fans now.

It’s 100% true that the Toronto Maple Leafs aren’t allowed to defend themselves in the slightest without being penalized. But Sam Bennett, Brad Marchand, & Matt Tkachuk can decapitate guys and walk away unscathed.
