- Louisiana Tech football will visit LSU in Tiger Stadium on September 6, 2025. The Bulldogs will receive $1.6 million for this contest.
- There is only one team in the nation that features 4 players with at least a .320 batting average and .900 OPS in at least 90 at bats on the season. That would be your Louisiana Tech Bulldogs.
- According to the NCAA’s just updated box score (unsure what is official), true freshman LB Tyler Grubbs was credited with 17 tackles. That is tied for 2nd most in the past 20 seasons for Tech, with only greats Jay Dudley and Adrien Cole in the 17+ tackle group at Tech since 2000.
- The CFL is made for Smoke’s game. This 61 yard kickoff return by Smoke is the 2nd longest in the CFL this year, which just finished its 5th week. Unfortunately Hamilton is going into their bye week. Cool that Tech and CFL legend Matt Dunigan was in the booth for Smoke’s debut.
00:00 - Trivia Answer: LA Tech football has had more players drafted since 2010 than any other school in the graphic. The Bulldogs’ 16 players drafted since 2010 is tied with Arizona, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Virginia, and Indiana and more than any G5 team within 800 miles.
- True freshman DB Michael Richard has been electric in his first 3 games as a Bulldog. Opposing offenses have tried to pick on the rookie, but he’s only allowed 3 receptions for 11 yards in 13 targets, with 5 pass breakups, per PFF. 📸@TheRealJoshMAC
- Hats off to New Mexico State fans in making up easily the largest visiting crowd this season and probably in several seasons.
- This may not be a popular opinion amongst my fellow Tech fans, but I respect the heck out of UTSA’s QB Frank Harris. The guy has torn both ACLs, hurt his non-throwing shoulder, and surely had P5 transfer offers, but he stuck around, worked hard, and is being rewarded for it.
- Man, baseball was fun this season. With these facilities, this culture, these fans, and this university, we don’t think it is unreasonable to believe that this will be the new normal at the Love Shack. Looking forward to baseball taking the next step in 2022.
- Huge product announcement dropping today! This has been in the works since the 2017 football season, with collection crews on standby at games in both Ruston and Birmingham, but the key ingredients finally became available this past weekend. Check out our ad, hot off the presses.
00:00 - Several Bulldogs remain at or near the top of the national leader lists following the win over UAB.
- Tech is the only team in the nation with 7 players with an OPS over .940 in at least 90 at bats. To put into perspective how impressive this is, only 7 other teams in the country have more than 4 players with an OPS > .940.
