- Today marks a tragic day in the history of the Department. A Los Angeles County Firefighter was killed in the Line of Duty this morning while battling a structure fire in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and all affected. #LODD

- BRUSH FIRE | #SaddleRidgeFire | UPDATE: Fire activity has decreased as the winds have subsided and temperatures have cooled. RH values are still very low. Firefighters will work through the night to build containment lines and monitor any hotspots. #LACoFD
- We’re deeply saddened that 1 #LACoFD Firefighter was killed in today’s shooting and another was wounded. The perpetrator of the shooting was also a County Firefighter who took his own life. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of all touched by this horrible incident.

- Fire Captain Arnie Sandoval was wounded at Fire Station 81 on 6/1. He remains in critical but stable condition and has undergone multiple surgeries. Captain Sandoval previously served as a Deputy with @LASDHQ. Please give what you can to help his family.
- AIRCRAFT INCIDENT | FS89 #WestlakeVillage | SB 101 North of Lindero Canyon Rd | E89 reports a single-engine Cessna that has landed successfully on the freeway. The occupants are safely out of the plane and are walking it off of the freeway. E89 can handle. #LACoFD
