Not how I wished this U.S. trip to end like. Got infected w/Influenza Type A & had a birth-defect-related pneumonia on top of that. Double whammy had me stay for 12 days in coma at UPMC’s ICU. Getting airlifted back to 🇨🇭late this week after barely surviving.

A 15 hrs airlift mission out of UPMC Pittsburgh over to my local hospital in Lucerne, Switzerland ended this morning at 6am. Beyond hsppy to be home, despite the long rehab period ahead of me. Thank you all for your thoughts & gifts!❤️
