- Parking in bike lanes is illegal in Kirkland. Please don't park in our bike lanes. Never park in a bike lane, even if you’re just checking your phone. Blocked bike lanes create unsafe conditions for people riding bikes, forcing them into traffic. Bike lanes are travel lanes too!
- We wanted to share with you an update on our Kirkland Fire Department. We are fully staffed and responding to calls. Currently 25 Kirkland firefighters and 2 Kirkland police officers have been placed under quarantine out of an abundance of caution. More @ bit.ly/39bR1V1
- A big thanks to all our Kirkland Public Works crew members that are working hard to make sure critical infrastructure (e.g. clean drinking water) is maintained during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, they still managed to take the time to save these ducklings. Our crews are the best!

- We’re happy to share this video of a Chinook salmon in Juanita Creek near Edith Moulton Park! We polled our Surface Water team & found out that it’s been years since our staff has seen a Chinook in Juanita Creek, with the most recent documented sighting by Kirkland staff in 1999.
